What You Will Do
At Volvo you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
As a Level I Engineer at Volvo your main responsibilities will be to implement and improve manufacturing process using Lean principles. Your main focus area will be on our Engine assembly line. The work you preform will be collaborative with both Production personnel and Engineering. We use agile as a part of our way of working in Engineering. You will work with an Agile team with a concentrated focus on safety, ergonomics, quality & delivery. You will be the process lead with respects to the operator interface with automated guidance vehicles, torque tools & our systems.
Your future team
We have a team of 10 Engineers with varying backgrounds. The team has nearly 100yrs of manufacturing experience, coming from various backgrounds. Our engineering team supports all of manufacturing assembly in the plant, across all of the various products.

- Proficiency in CAD (Inventor) software
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with quality control methods and tools for ensuring product quality
- Understanding of safety protocols and ergonomic principles in a manufacturing environment
- General understanding of torque theory and its application in manufacturing processes
