Service Manager

VoMac Truck Sales & Service - one of the top-rated Volvo & Mack dealerships in the midwest, is looking for an experienced Service Manager to join our team. This position is based in our Seymour, IN dealership. We are looking for someone to help us uphold our excellent reputation. The ideal candidate must have proven customer service skills and the ability to lead and grow a team. They must be able to communicate professionally with customers, technicians, other team members and corporate representatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assigning Priority: You’ll need to prioritize vehicle Repair Orders and assign them to the appropriate Technicians.
• Workflow Management: Overseeing the flow of work in the shop to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
• Contract Repairs: Organizing external repairs when necessary, ensuring work is completed to standard.
• Quality Control: Inspecting completed work and associated documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Training and Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to new team members.
• Safety Compliance: Monitoring the workspace and staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Customer Communication: Keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles and addressing any concerns.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in Truck Service is preferred.
• Possess a high level of overall technical knowledge, previous diesel mechanic experience desired
• Familiarity with CDK or other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and a professional demeanor.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Repair Order Processing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:. Employees are expected to adhere to company policies regarding the expectations as defined in the VoMac handbook. This position will require, at different times and frequencies, sitting, standing, walking, lifting and bending.
