E&I Technician

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety rules and regulations
• Adhere to company policy and procedures
• Under general supervision perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of equipment
• Perform routine maintenance (preventative maintenance) on electrical and instrument equipment throughout the plant ensuring safe practices and equipment operation. Report/refer defects or repairs as appropriate
• Perform emergency maintenance on failed equipment to get it back up and running as quick as possible
• Understand level of detail and expectations required for a specific task
• Assist with shutdown and start-up of equipment on shutdown projects
• Identify and relay safety, quality, waste reduction, and downtime reduction improvement opportunities to plant supervision/management
• Operate fork trucks and equipment/personnel lifting equipment in a safe manner and perform daily inspection and preventive maintenance
• Complete all paperwork accurately
• Follow verbal and written directions
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE

• Preferred candidate would be a professional with at least a two year degree in Industrial Electronics / Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field including two years of supervisory experience. Experience can be used as replacement for education.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail and recognize time constraints.
• Strong commitment to safety, demonstrated problem solving skills, and a strong sense of leadership.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills; desire to develop and promote the success of a dynamic, goal oriented team in fast paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• On call
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

• Rockingham, NC 28379: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:
