Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves working closely with preschool-aged children, assisting in their educational development, and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and transitions between activities.
- Foster a positive classroom environment by encouraging appropriate behavior and social interactions among students.
- Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual needs and achievements.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities to promote learning.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or similar setting is preferred.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively guide children's interactions.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- First aid certification is desirable to ensure children's safety.
- Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter can be beneficial for this role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
