Job Overview:
Our company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated International Move Coordinator to join our rapidly growing International team. As the Move Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and routing shipments, of household goods, for our clients and accounts. You will work closely with clients, carriers, and other vendors to ensure that all shipments are handled efficiently and effectively. This position requires an enthusiastic self-starter who is a team player with excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is someone with the passion and motivation to learn and grow with us during this exciting phase of development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate quotes to clients and accounts.
- Manage and route inbound and outbound household goods shipments from start to finish.
- Arrange vendors for origin services, destination services, hauling, port services, ocean and/or air transportation.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and other service providers to ensure cost effective transportation of household goods.
- Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation, including customs documentation and bills of lading.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure that they are delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, accounts, carriers, and other vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process.
- Maintain excellent communication with our Operations, Customer Service, and Accounting teams.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise during the shipping process and ensure that they are resolved promptly.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that our shipping operations remain compliant and efficient.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred, but not required
- 3 years of experience in International freight forwarding, specifically in the household goods shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

New hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period.
