The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician will support workplace safety initiatives at a customer site. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards. Responsibilities include implementing safety programs, conducting audits and inspections, facilitating training, and assisting with incident investigations. Under the guidance of the EHS Manager, the EHS Technician will contribute to risk mitigation strategies and promote a proactive safety culture. Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory safety standards at the customer’s industrial site location.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Conduct worksite inspections and audits to assess safety practices, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate employee safety training programs, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), mobile equipment operation, and onboarding training.
- Organize and maintain employee safety training records, mobile equipment logs, and certification documentation to ensure compliance.
- Participate in incident investigations, assisting in root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills and response protocols.
- Collaborate with the EHS team to review and update safety programs, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees, addressing concerns, and implementing proactive solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders by ensuring clear communication and responsiveness regarding safety concerns, compliance requirements, and EHS best practices.
- Serve as a resource for customer inquiries related to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to positively influence safety culture and drive engagement across teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively train and engage employees.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing compliance records.
- Basic understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices (preferred).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively in a team environment.
Education & Experience:
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Hands-on experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, or other industrial vehicles.
- Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other workplace safety standards.
- Previous experience in safety auditing, training, or compliance (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining compliance records and documentation.
- Prior experience or coursework in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred
- Hands-on experience in workplace safety, compliance, or related responsibilities is a plus, but not required. The willingness to learn and grow in EHS is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in industrial environments.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms).
- Ability to enter and work in confined spaces when necessary.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support operations.

- Monday- Friday 1st shift hours, with some off shift responsibilities as needed.
- $20/hr-$22/hr
