Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in shipping and receiving operations, as well as experience with warehouse management systems.
Duties
- Manage the receipt of incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing products securely and labeling them accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload materials.
- Conduct order picking for e-commerce fulfillment, ensuring accuracy in order selection.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment by following proper storage procedures.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory levels and updating records in the AS400 system.
- Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in shipping and receiving processes with a solid understanding of warehouse operations.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with e-commerce order fulfillment practices.
- Knowledge of using RF scanners for inventory management.
- Experience with MRP systems to track materials and manage stock levels.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
