Full Job Description

Our countertop installers are responsible for loading/unloading, mounting sinks and cutting/installing stone and quartz countertops and backsplashes for predominantly residential projects. In this crucial position punctuality and dependability are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Color Match distinct types of resin/glues to match stones.
• Cut and polish sink and/or faucet holes to templates.
• Ability to operate polish / profiling machines.
• Grind and polish edges with portable power tools.
• Fill small chips and perform touch ups.
• Pull seams in stone and quartz countertops.
• Plan the installation by measuring and marking crucial points.
• Detail-oriented, quality and precision-focused with self-inspection of work upon completion.
• Responsible to meet quality expectations set forth by the Install Manager for all work performed.
• Responsible to meet production expectations set forth for all work performed.
• Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Correctly and safely use all hand tools, saws and cutting equipment.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• A mastery of the granite and engineered stone installation process with excellent workmanship.
• Ability to cut and polish intricate edges.
• Must have ability to read and work from shop drawings and diagrams created manually or from a CAD program.
• Ability to measure, add, subtract, make basic mathematical calculations, etc.
• Must have the ability to recognize fabricating issues and seek help from the Install Manager/Shop Manager to resolve and prevent repetitive mistakes that will adversely impact production.
• Experience with proper and safe use, as well as maintenance, of tools utilized in granite fabrication and installation.
• Have a craftsman ability to use portable pneumatic tools and hand tools to cut, grind, shape and polish various types of stone products.
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of the use of different products and solvents such as various types of adhesives, acetone, and denatured alcohol used for fabrication.
• Basic knowledge of the stones commercially sold in the industry and an understanding of the varying characteristics of natural stone and engineered products.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Fabrication / Installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Good communication skills, honest, ethical and hardworking.
• Product knowledge of various natural stone and engineered products.
• Set-up and operating experience.
• Exceptional installation abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid driver’s license with no restrictions, i.e., DUIs or DWIs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
