What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Quality Assurance Engineer II position at Vontier?
- Design, develop, maintain tests based on user stories, use cases, other requirements sources, technical specifications, and non-functional requirements.
- Execute testing on new features as well as regression testing where applicable and automate tests where possible.
- Create necessary test data to test user stories and collaborate with automation resource on what is needed to increase the automation suite (including XML, JSON and proprietary format messages as needed).
- Track, report, and analyze software defects to resolve problems.
- Collaborate with different roles in the international organization.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 years of technical QA experience.
- You have been exposed to Agile methodologies with the scrum implementation.
- You are a technical thinker with experience working closely with Product Manager, Product Owners or Business Analysts writing user story acceptance criteria.
- You have the ability to understand SW modules architecture as well as overall architecture
- You have the ability to review requirement, design artifacts for ambiguity and design medium to complex test cases to verify functionality and performance.
- You have a great quality of oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels of the organization.
- You have been exposed to an international environment and you have good quality of oral and written communication in English language.
- You are a self-organized resource as well as a team player with great collaboration capabilities.
- You have the problem solving capability in straightforward situations, where you analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgment as well as precedents.
- You have been exposed to Jira or related software testing tools.
- You have been exposed to Linux OS.
- You have experience with XML, JSON, or related languages in order to do some level of test automation withing an automation framework.
