We are seeking a skilled and passionate Shift Lead to join our culinary team. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for assisting staff in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our customers' expectations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other kitchen staff to deliver dishes that are timely and visually appealing.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with recipes and standards
Coach all staff on making recipes properly
Make sure breaks are taken at appropriate times
Watch sales and cut staff from scheduled work times as needed if slow.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Cook proteins, vegetables, and other menu items in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor food stock levels and order supplies when needed
• Keep the kitchen and work area clean and always organized
• Ensure that all food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and hygienically
• Assist with menu planning and development
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food
• Follow all kitchen and restaurant procedures, policies, and standards
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a shift lead or supervisor in a high-volume restaurant
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
