We are currently looking for Experienced Bar Staff for our Arch Street and Bessemer Street (Compound) locations.

As a member of our front of house staff, our bartenders truly are the life-force of our pubs. They maintain order (especially during high volume situations), promote our laid back pub atmosphere, display our company culture and educate patrons on our world class beer and food. As an employee-owner, you will have the opportunity to participate in company brew days, company outings, represent Voodoo at a variety of regional beer events, good vibes Fest beer festival participation...these are just a few of the many exciting events throughout the year.

What we'll ask of you:

• Ensure that company culture, and good vibes are maintained in our taproom at all times.
• Share experiences, insights and personal knowledge of not only Voodoo beer, but craft beer in general, with all customers. (this includes beer styles, beer ingredients, the brewing process, and the history of Voodoo Brewing Co.)
• Interact positively with customers as they enter the brewpub. Set the tone of their visit immediately.
• Recommend beer samples for new visitors, describe new offerings to returning guests, and always drive sales by promoting all of our to-go beer and apparel options.
• Exhibit in-depth knowledge of all food items available from our kitchen.
• Maintain a safe, clean and productive work environment at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service and always be attentive to our brewpub guests.
• Display attention to detail when using our POS system for cash or credit card sales.
• Conduct yourself in a mature and professional manner at all times, especially when interacting with or in the vicinity of customers.
• Be willing and able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
• Arrive to work on time, arrive motivated, and arrive ready to have a good time.
• Be available for work day/night, weekdays/weekends.
• Be available and committed to work your shift(s) .
• BE YOURSELF (we want personality).

Physical requirements:

• It's a pub, so it will be loud, busy, and fast paced.
• You will be on your feet, a lot -- most likely for 8 hours per day/shift.
• Be able to move kegs, or be really nice to co-workers that can help you move kegs.

Education, Experience and other requirements:

• At least 21 years of age (required)
• 1 years of bartending experience (strongly preferred)
• 1 years of craft beer industry experience or home brew experience (strongly preferred)
• RAMP certified or the ability to become certified within 30 days of hire (required)
• First Aid/CPR (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $2.83 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
