Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and be proficient in automotive diagnostics. The Diesel Technician will work on a variety of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and electrical system checks.
- Align, fabricate, and assemble various components of diesel machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to repair equipment.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic with a focus on diesel engines.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus.
- Strong skills in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, brake repair, and suspension work.
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery safely.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
