Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Customer Service Representative. As an CSR, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers, helping to maintain alignment with key business executives to improve customer experience, and retention and sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Primary internal contact for both the customer and respective outside sales

representative.

  • Develop and maintain the highest possible customer relationships with current and
  • prospective customers to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction.

  • Timely processing of customer purchase orders and follow-up with corresponding sales
  • acknowledgment.

  • Confirm accuracy of internal processed production work order with customer purchase order, then work
  • with operations team to have scheduled based on material availability.

  • Review and confirm accuracy of sales order with pricing.
  • Escalate pricing issues and / or discrepancies with sales and pricing team.
  • Communicate customer material availability with operations team.
  • Generate customer requested reports - such as inventory, backlog / open orders, sales history, production
  • reports, etc.

  • As necessary, discuss the above reports with the customer and reconcile any discrepancies with the customer as they arise.
  • Assist with metal and paint inventory transfer paperwork and logistics between plants and customers.
  • Participate in customer meetings and visits, as required (~15%).
  • Engage with production planning team to schedule customer orders based on due dates and communicate
  • to customer anticipated schedule.

  • Quickly communicate any schedule changes or material issues with customer.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other internal parties to ensure that customer agreements are met.
  • Escalate and resolve key customer issues by driving accountability with our quality and operation teams.
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience from order receipt to product receipt to ensure unparalleled
  • customer satisfaction and service for continued business.

  • Work with regional Sales Manager / Business Developer to learn, in detail, order book and customer
  • requirements and preferences.

  • Attend sales meetings / visits when necessary to engage with customer and Sales Manager / Business
  • Developer.

  • Ability to communicate via email, phone, and in-person clearly, effectively, and concisely.
  • Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary education is strongly preferred.
  • Customer Service experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically EPICOR preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of metals and coating industry a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish [and English] a plus, but not required.
