What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Warehouse Lead position at Vortex Cold Storage LLC?
Summary: Responsible for performing normal warehouse functions, as well as provide coverage for Supervisors by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Works with Warehouse Supervisor to receive cold storage shipments and maintains all stock inventories for Warehouse.*
2. Unloads shipping trucks as required throughout the work shift.*
3. Uses a fork lift, pallet and hand truck as required to receive, move, and ship products.*
4. Assists shipping area with customer orders as requested.*
5. Works closely with Supervisor, other Leads and Operators to complete daily work orders quickly and effeciently.*
6. Adheres to all safety procedures and best practices.*
7. Reports any warehouse issues or concerns promptly to Warehouse supervisor or Director of Operations. *
8. Be responsible and participate in making a positive Food Safety Culture, including, but not limited to, being on the Food Safety Team. *
9. Assists in accident/incident inquiries and investigations when necessary. *
10. Leads by example.*
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 10 employees in the Warehouse Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Datex.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
