Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for repairing and maintaining the warehouse and all equipment on site by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for the periodic maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment.*
• Responsible for the accurate reporting and maintaining of all records.*
• Responsible for active engagement in safety committee, safety training and drills.*
• Responsible for having time management skills.*
• Completes grounds work as needed.*

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Datex.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Equipment:

• Trained and certified in Forklift use and operation
• Scissor lift

• Time management skills
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of Cold Storage or Refrigeration Highly Preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, and outdoor weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Experience:

• Maintenance: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
