The CDL Operator must work effectively with supervisors and all members of the crew to ensure successful inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes.
Responsibilities:
- Manual labor tasks (lifting, carrying, dragging or pulling material, etc.)
- Equipment driving and operation.
- Entry into manhole and underground structures.
- Pump watch and operation.
Qualifications/Skills required:
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience operating a Class A or B Vehicle, preferably a Vac Truck.
- Tanker endorsement required or willing to obtain.
- Must also have the ability and/or willingness to learn and operate other company equipment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and meet background requirements. We are a second chance employer.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8 hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Able to work in various weather conditions.
- Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
$60/day per diem when traveling. Hotels are single occupancy and are compensated by the company.
