Who Were Hiring:
Vortex Metal Manufacturing is searching for an Estimator who will provide accurate pricing data for our clients. The Estimator will be responsible for reading and interpreting ductwork specifications, on-screen sheet metal takeoff, communicating all necessary specifications in a clear and concise manner, and building relationships with clients. This is a self-reliant, in-depth, detail-oriented position where an individual will be challenged with multiple jobs and scopes of work in succession. They will spend most of their time reading specifications and performing takeoff. The Estimator will also be challenged by critically thinking about product and design requirements from Engineers and from clients. The Estimator will occasionally be responsible for researching product details to check for compliance with job requirements.

What Youll Do:
- Read and interpret job specifications and requirements.
- Perform on-screen takeoff for sheet metal ductwork conforming to our clients scope of work.
- Communicate job requirements needed for pricing clearly and concisely.
- Research product data to ensure compliance with job requirements.
- Communicate with clients when necessary.
- Revise quotes to reflect changes in plans or scope of work from clients requests.
What Youll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Prior estimating knowledge is preferred.
- Must possess a professional attitude and willingness to learn.
- Fluent English reading and writing skills are required.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Intense attention to detail is required.
