Vortex Optics is looking for a talented individual to join our Quality Care team. In this role, you would inspect and test riflescopes, rangefinders, red dots, binoculars, spotting scopes, apparel, and branded gear. To be successful as a QC inspector, you should have good dexterity, excellent eyesight, and attention to detail.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspects full fit, finish, and function of various Vortex products from riflescopes and rangefinders to apparel and accessories.
- Maintains quality log data.
- Maintain a clean work area including break room and warehouse.
- Pursues and obtains product knowledge on a regular basis, both independently through literature, web sites and through training programs provided and by asking questions.
- Work independently and make decisions with little direct oversight of a supervisor while at the same time working in a group/team environment. Makes suggestions and demonstrates initiative in executing tasks.
- Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to a member of management immediately.
- Attends and participates in all company-sponsored training programs as required.
- Participates in team meetings by presenting and sharing information regarding services and overall update purposes.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding all company and customer information.
- Works continuously, cooperatively, productively, and professionally with co-workers and management.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, working together in a cooperative manner to achieve department and company goals.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
