Position Summary:
This paralegal will work with and support attorneys in various practice groups. This position will perform tasks relating to corporate, real estate and estate planning activities.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct or supervise information collection of assets, companies, or individuals from various sources.
- Research and present findings
- Organize, analyze and prepare legal materials
- Draft, file, record or serve statements, complaints/answers, applications, certificates or other legal items.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Extensive knowledge of state, local and federal rules
- In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles
- Strong proofreading skills, including the ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired:
- Understanding of the corporate practice area
- Experience with estate and probate practice
- Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in related discipline required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in similar field required.
- Prior law firm experience or training required.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred.
