Position Summary :
The Systems Administrator will manage a subset of the firm’s file and print servers, SQL servers, E-mail servers, billing servers, remote access servers, several application servers, and a small set of web servers all on a Windows server platform. Maintain support of the Data Center including network cabling, server cabinet space usage (kvm, power, & monitor), and switch rack space utilization. Maintain support of the Avaya Phone System. Follow department procedures to properly label and document all equipment and cabling. At this time, candidates who would work in the following states will not be considered for this role : VT, RI, NY, NJ, NH, MI, ME, MA, DE, CO, CT, CA, and AZ.
Essential Functions :
- Provide second and third level support to the Service Desk. Participate in the team’s on call rotation.
- Analyze and resolve problems with the Windows server based applications, network, or telephony systems.
- Evaluate, select, plan, and implement new upgrades and products into the server, network, or telephony environment as appropriate.
- Monitor and tune network appliances, Phone Switches, Windows Servers and server-based applications for optimal performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for the Windows server based applications and Systems for which the administrator is primarily responsible.
