CNC Operator
AM WEEKEND CREW (Friday - Sunday 6 am - 6 pm)
Eligible for quarterly bonuses
Pay ranges based on experience
Up to $1,750 SIGN ON BONUS FOR ALL NEW HIRES
We are a leading manufacturing company in Berea, OH.
What You'll Do
- Reads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions
- Troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient overall production with assistance
- Calculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow
- Documents new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized
- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Setup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shop
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Experience: 1-3 years' experience as CNC mill/lathe operator preferred
- Experience verifying dimensions of parts, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, and/or fixed gauges
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Flexibility in work assignments
- Must be able to continuously perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking
- Must be able to handle continuous standing 8-10 hours daily
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
- Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime as required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
