Fabricator/Assembler duties and responsibilities:
-Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
-Reads and deciphers assembly instructions
-Positions or aligns components and parts
-Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts
-Conducts quality control checks
-Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools
-Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials related
-Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
-Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
-Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
-Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
-Helps keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions
-Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
-Helps maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels
-Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
Assembler Skills/Qualifications:
-Mechanical and technical skills
-Physical stamina and strength for manipulating 150lbs
-Safety management mindset
-Focus on quality control
-Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must agree to background screening
- Be able to work 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Desired characteristics:
- At least 6 months experience in fabrication/assembly preferred
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems
- Reliability and consistency in work ethic
- Honesty, integrity, and professionalism a must
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
