What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Vouv Meeting & Event Space?
Award winning, Dallas based, Wedding and Event Venues, Vouv Meeting and Event Space and Nuvo Room, owned by Culinary Art Catering, is growing our team and seeking a full time Operations Manager. This position is primarily responsible for handling and upkeep of facilities, decor, tables, chairs, etc.
Your duties include:
- Setup and maintenance of event rentals for events
- Setup and maintenance of A/V Equipment
- Checking rental requirements for onsite events, ordering as needed
- General readiness of onsite venues
- Assist with creating, printing, posting, and adjusting floor plans for events
- Assist with creating, printing and putting together menu signage for events
- Keep conference room, suites, bathrooms, JIC kits, etc. stocked and ready for clients
- Check inventories of event rentals: linens, napkins, centerpieces, candles, etc
- Check inventories of office supplies, snacks, toilet paper, hand soap, etc
- Weekday opening / closing of onsite venues
- Receiving & counting linens (rented or in house) for events
- Light venue repairs as needs (change lightbulbs, chair cushions, paint touchups, wiping down walls, etc)
- Helping with administrative duties as needed (filing, organizing, storing, etc)
- Light garden upkeep (ponds, grass areas, etc) for Plano venue
- Maintaining grounds of venues before events.
This position will also assist the General Manager with open houses, acting as on-site event manager during scheduled events as needed, and assisting the team with back-of-house needs to keep the venues running smoothly. Attention to detail and communication skills are a must! This is a full time position.
