As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our production team and help us meet growing demand.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our kitchen crew at VoVo’s Market. This part-time role will help in the preparation and manufacturing of Brazilian food products that are sold in grocery stores and at farmers markets. The position requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and a maximum of 20 hours per week. While the position is not available until May, we encourage applicants who are excited to be part of our team and help create delicious, high-quality products for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Brazilian food products according to VoVo’s Market recipes and standards.
- Help with ingredient preparation, including chopping, mixing, and measuring.
- Support the packaging and labeling of products for grocery stores and farmers markets.
- Ensure that kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and product storage.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain production efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Follow food safety procedures and ensure that all equipment and supplies are handled properly.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 hours per week, with a maximum of 20 hours per week available.
- Must be available starting in May.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food production environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Passion for food, especially Brazilian cuisine, is a plus!
