About the Role:
We seek a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and taking vital signs
- Assisting in the float station
- Administering injections, phlebotomy draws, and performing EKGs
- Communicating with patients and their families to provide advice, patient education forms, and ensuring completion of appropriate patient forms
- Documenting in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
- Maintaining supplies, equipment, stocks, and sterilizing instruments
- Complying with procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards
- Traveling to other clinic locations as needed
Requirements:
- Current Medical Assistant certification by AAMA/AMT or RMA credential required
- CPR Certification, required within one month of employment
- Reliable and motivated team player who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and physicians
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
- Work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrate commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
