Located in San Francisco, New York, and London, we started investing Voyager Fund II in January 2025.
About the Role
We are a nimble team focused on delivering tangible results. To enhance our operational efficiency and execution speed, we are looking for a Chief Operations Officer to lead strategic projects, oversee communications, and implement technology solutions. This role reports directly to Sierra Peterson, Founding Partner, and works closely across the organization.
This is not an investment track position. It is an ideal opportunity for someone with a proactive mindset who seeks to develop operational and managerial skills for future entrepreneurial endeavors and leadership roles.

Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Projects : Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives that promote firm growth and efficiency, serving as an extension of the General Partner (GP) to achieve Voyager's strategic goals.
- Manage projects that support GP decision-making, conduct investment research, enhance LP relationships, and streamline firm operations.
- Communications : Create and enhance key communication materials, including annual meeting updates, LP letters, and strategic correspondence.
- Ensure messaging is consistent with Voyager’s vision and priorities.
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all external materials and presentations.
- Marketing : Oversee Voyager’s social media channels, producing engaging content to increase brand visibility.
- Develop and implement a content strategy that highlights portfolio successes, firm milestones, and thought leadership.
- Track performance metrics to optimize our marketing and communication efforts.
- Manage a detailed communications plan that includes a media contacts database and oversee external communication partnerships.
- Collaborate with design agencies to uphold cohesive and impactful branding.
- Community Building : Organize events, workshops, and forums that connect and engage our ecosystem.
- Serve as a primary contact for community inquiries and stay attuned to community needs.
- Represent Voyager at community events and in media engagements.
- Support investment teams in building relationships with portfolio company leaders, founders, and businesses.
- Project Management & Operational Support : Work alongside investment and operations teams to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the firm.
- Ensure key operational deadlines and goals are met with precision and high standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and support as necessary.
- Technology : Assess and recommend software tools that streamline workflows across crucial business functions, including communications and project management.
- Pilot and monitor the adoption of automation and AI tools that align with operational objectives.
- Train team members on effectively using AI and automation to enhance productivity and reduce manual tasks.
- Stay updated on emerging AI trends to identify ongoing opportunities for process improvements.
