What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packer - 2nd Shift (Mon - Thur) position at Voyant Beauty?
Position Overview:
This position works on the assembly line in production of finished goods and Work in Process (WIP), following standard operating procedures. Will perform on-line/off-line inspections and sort goods. Will be required to maintain productivity and standard line speed while packing or palletizing finished goods. Will perform rework and cleaning when not assigned to production line.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting daily production requirements when packing finished goods, inserting materials, and/or palletizing finished goods.
Maintain quality standards by performing visual inspections to ensure finished goods conform to quality standards and are packaged correctly.
Ensure quantities of packaged finished goods are accurate.
Alert Machine Operator when material levels are low.
Move components from the staging area to the production line as needed.
Consistently contribute to team productivity by performing duties properly and in a timely manner.
Responsible and accountable for current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with plant procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
At least three months’ experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Must be able to follow verbal and written communication.
Experience using material handling equipment, such as pallet jack helpful.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically endure work schedule.
Ability to perform routine or repetitive work.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work is performed on moving assembly line while standing.
