Job Description
Bergen county NJ insurance agency seeking a motivated, experienced full charge Bookkeeper to join our team. Needed 21 hours per week, with potential to go full time. Manage all reporting, transactions, and reconciliation of company financial matters. The role would be hands on with the daily general ledger maintenance and month end closing. This is permanent part time to full time position. Salery and benefits to be discussed based on agreed upon hours and experience.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to.
Payroll & Taxes
· Online Bi-monthly Payroll
· Report 401k contributions to Company
Daily & weekly
· Pay Insured's Premiums
· Pay Carrier and Vendor invoices in AMS
· Make bank deposits and enter into AMS
· Manage accounts receivable
· Scan all Documents into Management System with Activities
· Work with Account Managers on managing incoming payments / invoices.
· Process and send in-house invoicing when needed.
· Assist with HR requirements and onboarding, including employee benefits and maintain employee attendance records.
· Order office supplies when needed and manage/periodically shop various office and building services/vendors.
· Agency bill reconciliations
· Direct bill reconciliations
· Maintain daily cash and available balances.
Monthly & Quarterly
· Monthly Reporting
· Reconcile Bank Accounts
· Reconcile Commission Accounts
· Pay producers and brokers.
· Reconcile Payable Accounts
· Collect Building rents.
· Bill tenants monthly for utilities
· Send out monthly statements to clients and brokers.
· Bill & Voucher public entity fees & enter into AMS for reconciliation.
Annually
· Prepare Year End paperwork to CPA for Tax Filing
· File Reporting Documents
· Prepare Workers Comp Annual Audit
· Assist with annual Bonuses and payroll changes.
· Manage Workers compensation safety trust & dividend payments.
· Prepare annual reports for safety trust.
· Prepare documents for annual 401k testing and return.
· Medical/Dental renewals and employee contributions
· Maintain vendor and tenant contracts for annual renewals.
Requirements
Applied EPIC AMS experience and background in the insurance industry a plus. Must be proficient in MS office, outlook, word, excel and possess excellent accounting & communications skills. Background check and driver's license. Five years bookkeeping/accounting experience. Full time position should be willing to get insurance license.
