Job Summary :
As the HR Generalist at VP Racing, you will be a part of shaping our company culture and supporting our rapid growth. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this role will be based at our plant in Elmendorf, TX with rotating days at the corporate office as needed. The Human Resource Generalist will support a range of HR Functions, including full-scale payroll and onboarding process, recruiting, hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, and labor & employee relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Processes full cycle multi-state payroll. (Bi-Weekly)
- Performs employee maintenance including, new hires, deductions, salary changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Assist in audits and investigations to ensure and maintain Federal / State employment law compliance. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; partners with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, creates and edits job descriptions as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with employees at the site, to promote and foster open communication and trust.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Performs new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
