What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician Journeyman position at VPC Electric?
**Compensation: $70,000 - $120,000 per month (USD)**
VPC Electric is a family owned and operated business native to the Inland Northwest doing high volume, personal, individual experience & team work.
We are searching for an observant and dependable journeyman Electrician to perform installation and restoration work for our clients. The Journeyman Electrician's duties include communicating with clients and performing one's own inspections to diagnose and tend to each task. You should be comfortable performing these and related undertakings with minimal supervision.
Duties:
- Carrying standard equipment and parts with you at all times.
- Commuting between the locations at which you will work.
- Performing inspections, conducting assessments, and liaising with clients to ascertain the issues that warrant attention.
- Choosing the most apt course of action in light of project constraints.
- Selecting, installing, and preserving the functionality of wires, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, switchboards, and similar.
- Setting up and maintaining electrical machines.
- Monitoring inventory to ensure an adequate stock.
- Logging time and resources spent on each task to calculate costs.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations.
- Providing professional, friendly, and prompt services.
- Critical Thinker
- Experience in all facets of electrical work
Requirements:
- Have an active driver's license in good standing.
- Hold an electrical 01/02 Journeyman’s License in the state of Idaho, Washington a plus
- 1 years of residential service experience, working with customers in their homes
- Must be friendly & have good people skills
- Previous experience discussing job estimates/costs and presenting options to customers
- Diagnose and repairs electrical systems that lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
- Establish customer rapport to options for the right products and services.
- Educates and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Must be able to work independently while unselfishly making decisions for the good of the team
