Position Overview
As a member of the senior leadership team at VPG Construction, the Project Executive (PX) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations related to construction, project management, and project administration within a designated market sector or project. The PX will assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures to achieve established goals and support the company's mission. This role will lead, manage, and coordinate all phases of multiple projects, from business development support and preconstruction to construction execution and closeout, by guiding and developing a team of project managers, superintendents, project engineers, and project assistants.
Responsibilities:
· Cultivate and build relationships within the industry and participate in business development initiatives.
· Engage in construction planning, estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Deliver projects on time while ensuring financial targets are met to maintain profitability.
· Manage and mentor VPG project team members.
· Foster a high-performing, innovative team environment.
· Facilitate effective communication throughout all project phases.
· Ensure alignment of the project team with VPG’s culture, values, and behaviors.
· Provide value engineering services to benefit clients’ project goals, where applicable.
· Analyze and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
· Prepare comprehensive and well-documented proposals for clients.
· Create, develop, and maintain a detailed construction schedule that incorporates communication from the project team.
· Conduct regular project site walk-throughs to ensure compliance with contracts, safety standards, and quality control.
· Resolve project conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
· Manage the permit process and ensure compliance with all local authorities and jurisdictions.
· Oversee all accounting-related duties, such as invoicing, collections, accounts payable approvals, contract issuance, and quarterly reporting (WIP, projections, etc.).
· Stay informed about current market trends.
· Oversee multiple complex projects and manage a team while handling day-to-day operational aspects.
· Provide value engineering options to benefit clients’ project goals, where applicable.
· Communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully.
· Administer document control procedures for all construction-related documents.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of fifteen (15) years of construction management experience across various markets and project types.
· 5-7 years of proven experience as a project lead on complex projects is preferred.
· Experience in construction or a similar field.
· College degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
· OSHA Safety trained, with experience in quality, health, and safety standards.
· Thorough understanding of architectural, structural, civil, and MEPFP systems.
· Proven track record of delivering profitable projects while maintaining safety and quality standards set forth by both the client and VPG.
· Experience with pre-construction services and a Design/Build approach.
· Exceptional communication skills.
· Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual.
· Strong time management skills; adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; keen attention to detail.
· Tech-savvy; proficient with industry tools, including scheduling and project management software.
· Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
· Open-mindedness towards new ideas, strategies, and innovative approaches.
· Excellent at building relationships and collaborating with a team.
· Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.

· Healthcare experience is a plus.
