Technical Writer

Employment Type: Full-Time, PRN to start
Compensation: $30 per hour
VPI Compounding Pharmacy, a leading provider of personalized medication solutions, is actively seeking a Technical Writer with a strong background in science and to translate complex scientific data and research from our chemist into clear, well-formatted, and detailed reports. The ideal candidate will have a knack for distilling technical information into concise, accurate, and engaging content that meets regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex scientific and pharmaceutical data into clear, precise, and structured technical reports.
- Develop, edit, and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), formulation reports, batch records, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure reports and documents comply with FDA and USP guidelines applicable to 503A compounding pharmacies.
- Collaborate with chemists, pharmacists, and quality assurance teams to capture and communicate technical processes effectively.
- Apply proper document formatting, version control, and quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Review and analyze data to create detailed summaries that are easily understood by both internal teams and external regulators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and scientific accuracy.
- Ability to translate highly technical scientific information for a variety of audiences.
- Experience working in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other document management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with compounding pharmacy processes, USP standards, and 503A regulations.
- Knowledge of regulatory documentation standards and terminology.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated or healthcare environment.
