Overnight Cashier

Overview

The role of the Cashier is to provide exceptional customer and guest experiences while ensuring that all transactions meet company practices for revenue control.

The cashier position is vital to achieving positive customer service. They are responsible for successfully completing the financial transaction with the customer and maintaining the balance of the cash drawer at all times. They are to welcome the customers, engage the customers to ensure all needs/ questions are addressed, display a positive attitude, and thank all customers for their business.

Responsibilities

• Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they approach the cash register and be polite with customers during the transaction
  • Must have knowledge of cash register, credit card machines, and Aramark Cash Handling Policy to effectively service the customer
  • Must be familiar with all menu items and pricing to effectively complete financial transactions and answer questions from customers
  • Maintain an organized, neat and clean cashier station
  • Stock service areas with paper goods, condiments, beverages, and food items as needed
  • Count, organize, and balance the cash drawer; fill out the cashier slip; and make deposits while in the presence of a manager or supervisor
  • Distribute promotional material and customer loyalty rewards as necessary
  • Assist with daily functions in the kitchen, food court, or dining room during down time
  • Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately
  • Involves repetitive motion

Qualifications

Years of Experience: Entry Level

Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and written

Education Requirements: High School Diploma/GED

 

Requirements:

• Be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
• Be prepared to sit for long periods and walk short distances
• Possess the manual dexterity to operate essential office equipment, including computers and cash registers
• Possess the mental ability to be able to process cash and manual transactions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Smile during every customer interaction
• Maintain uniform standards while around the account
• Be able to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to create relationships with customers
• Organized, proficient with computers, and strong number skills
•  

Additional Job Functions:

• Cross-train at other positions in the location
• Work at other stations and in other departments as necessary
• Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team

• Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
