About the QA Practice Lead Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Practice Lead with a strong foundation in Automation Architecture, API based Test Planning, Execution and Management to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in owning, delivering and promoting team adoption on a backlog of QA Practice enhancements. Your contributions will ensure our full QA team can realize improvements in process and tools which transcend the quality, efficiency and reliability of our test functions. Upon realization of these initial QA goals, you will then transition into QA Leadership role on one of our many Agile teams leading and mentoring a group of QA engineers, while also actively contributing to hands on testing efforts.

Thought Leadership & Management (25%):
Define and implement QA best practices, processes, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements, design test strategies, and estimate testing efforts, manage offshore QA Teams.
- Track and report on project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Proactively identify and address quality issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as a subject matter expert on web services testing and provide guidance to the team.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex testing challenges.
Hands-on Testing (75%):
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites for web services, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Utilize industry-standard testing tools and frameworks to automate test cases and generate reports.
- Analyze test results, identify, and document defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Stay abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on web services testing.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams.
- Expertise in web services testing methodologies, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, and XML.
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Postman, and SoapUI.
- Experience with automation frameworks , scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Groovy) and SQL Syntax
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong diligence and a passion for quality.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (preferred).
