Job Summary:
The Fleet Administrator assists the Fleet Manager In overseeing the company’s vehicle fleet to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with policies, and proper maintenance. This role involves maintaining records, coordinating maintenance, monitoring driver compliance, and supporting inventory management to ensure company vehicles are safe, clean, and road-ready at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in monitoring driver compliance with Vredevoogd’s Vehicle Policy and repot violations.
- Maintain electronic databases for vehicle purchases, sales, registration, inspections, and maintenance.
- Assist in scheduling fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections to minimize downtime.
- Support fleet availability by tracking vehicle usage and forecasting needs.
- Ensure spare vehicles are returned clean, stocked, and ready for use.
- Assist in monitoring and enforcing local and state vehicle regulations.
- Administer fuel card distribution and monitor fuel purchases for all company vehicles.
- Track fleet operational standards and advocate best practices for vehicle upkeep.
- Coordinate vehicle upfitting, including decals, shelving, and other modifications.
- Assist with in-vehicle monitoring systems (GPS, tracking devices) for policy compliance.
- Support accident and insurance claims by coordinating with managers and ensuring reports are completed.
- Assist in fleet inventory tracking and weekly inventory counts.
- Conduct routine appearance inspections and annual safety checks on company vehicles.
- Assist with stocking new vans with inventory and decommissioning old vehicles.
- Maintain and update driver and vehicle records in the Insurance Portal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current driver’s license and maintain insurability with Vredevoogd’s carrier.
- Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings.
- Ability to pass national background check.
- Strong oral and reading skills.
- Capability to work in Michigan’s environmental conditions.
- Strong commitment to world-class customer service.
- Strong multitasking skills: phone, computer, and people skills.

- High School diploma or GED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
