What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at VRIO Digital?
Fluent in French and English languages( Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Desktop Support:
Provide second-level technical support for end-users, addressing hardware and software issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals
Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, application, and connectivity problems
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
2. Server Management:
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers
Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions
Apply security patches and updates to ensure system integrity
Manage virtual environments using technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
3. Network Support:
Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers,and firewalls
Monitor network performance and security
Troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement solutions
Manage IP addressing and DHCP/DNS services
4. General IT Duties:
Participate in IT projects and initiatives
Document technical processes and maintain knowledge base
Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and best practices
Assist in maintaining inventory of IT assets
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Follow Corp standards and policies
Work closely with Corp IT Teams and assist as the onsite technical resource
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field(or equivalent
experience)
● 3 years of experience in IT support roles
● Fluent in French and English languages
● Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
● Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
● Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
● Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS and GCP
● Understanding of information security principles and best practices
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
● Travel to business locations for onsite work
● Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , MCSA, CCNA)
● Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
● Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
● Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
