- Data Strategy & Architecture:
- Develop and implement both short-term and long-term data strategies aligned with GTRI's strategic initiatives, covering Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Operational Data Stores, Metadata, Master Data, and Big Data (Data Lakes, Data Lakehouses).
- Create, maintain, and evolve data architecture blueprints and reference architecture for current, transitional, and future states.
- Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts reflecting a practical enterprise data model and architecture.
- Innovation & Tools:
- Stay updated with the latest industry tools and technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enterprise-level data challenges.
- Collaborate with the ETL, Data Warehouse, and Reporting teams to gather and integrate data from internal and external sources.
- Implement data quality measures, including data profiling and data quality rules management.
- Governance & Security:
- Work with cross-functional teams (security, legal, etc.) to establish standards and policies for securing and protecting enterprise information assets, ensuring proper access management and privacy controls (in-flight and at rest).
- Manage information security, including sensitivity analysis, access and audit controls, encryption, and other data protection techniques.
- Collaboration & Optimization:
- Collaborate with the ESD Database Administrators (DBAs) to optimize Oracle database systems for enhanced performance.
- Facilitate integration of data visualization tools like Tableau and Cognos, widely used at GTRI, ensuring compatibility with Oracle databases, IBM DataStage, and other data sources.
Required:
- Experience: 10 years architecting on-premise and cloud-based enterprise data solutions.
- Expertise: Architecting and delivering end-to-end data solutions (Data Warehousing, Analytics, BI, Big Data, Operational Data Stores, Metadata, Master Data) within an enterprise.
- BI Platforms: Expertise in designing, building, and managing Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
- Data Architecture: Proficiency in data process modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) for scalability, consistency, integrity, and quality.
- Data Governance: Solid knowledge of data governance frameworks and experience developing an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) framework in alignment with enterprise data governance policies.
- Data Visualization: Expertise in data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Cognos Analytics.
- Technology Platforms: Experience with platforms like MuleSoft and IBM DataStage.
- Data Management: Strong understanding of data management concepts, including handling structured and unstructured data, batch, and real-time integrations.
- Data Accessibility: Knowledge of improving data models that support business intelligence tools to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Data Integration: Expertise in general data integration, conversion scripting, and workflow development.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
