Position Title: PennDOT – .NET Developer Full Stack TAS2 (758753)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Harrisburg, PA
Note: This position is hybrid; primarily remote off-site with requirements to be on-site at The Keystone Building in Harrisburg PA as needed. The individual will be required to pick up commonwealth-issued equipment on-site the first day.
Position Summary
The Pennsylvania Transit Database (PennTD) is a greenfield web application being built for PennDOT’s Bureau of Public Transit to replace and enhance a legacy system using the latest .NET and Angular technologies for deployment to the Azure cloud. The application will allow easier communication between PennDOT, the Federal Department of Transit, and public transit agencies within Pennsylvania while enhancing lines of business and looking forward to future changes and systems enhancements. Prospective initial deployment of the application is March 2025 with additional deployments scheduled quarterly. Candidates will work under the direction of the project’s Technical Lead and Application Architect to write, test, and document code to implement system features and enhancements.

Preferred Skills And Experience
- 8 Years: .NET Core and C#, for building backend services and applications
- 8 Years: ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core for building web applications
- 8 Years: SQL Server / T-SQL, recent experience with Azure SQL
- 8 Years: APIs and Integration, RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture
- 8 Years: Testing frameworks: XUnit/NUnit, Prefer: Jasmine and Karma
- 8 Years: ORM, such as Entity framework and Dapper
- 8 Years: Containerization Prefer Docker
- 8 Years: Cloud services with implementation in .NET: Azure Function, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure container registry, Key Vault
- 8 Years: Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Prefer: prior experience with jQuery and Bootstrap), Angular with recent experience with Angular 14 or greater
- 8 Years: Visual Studio with recent experience in VS2022 and VS Code, Azure DevOps /Git
