Job Description: VP of Finance
Company Overview: PSA is a rapidly growing advanced contract manufacturer of commercial and defense products with annual revenues approaching $50M with expectations of triple digit growth over the next few years. PSA is dedicated to innovation, quality, and excellence in all our products and services and is therefore seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Finance (VPF) to join our executive team and drive our financial strategy, performance and business operations.
Position Summary: The VPF will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the company, and supporting our growth objectives. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong background in manufacturing, systems implementation, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s high growth and profitability goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to ensure the company’s financial stability. Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and financing.
- Systems Implementation: Lead the implementation and optimization of financial and shop floor systems, including Microsoft Dynamics. Ensure systems are integrated and support efficient financial operations.
- Manufacturing Finance: Provide financial oversight of manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, WIP and inventory management, and capital expenditure analysis. Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations and manufacturing.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of effective processes, procedures and controls.
- Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing finance team. Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:
- Education: CPA required. MBA or other advanced degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Strong systems implementation experience.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Performance driven with a strong bias for action and problem solving.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Hands-On Approach: Willingness to be deeply involved in day-to-day financial operations.
