Backend Node Developer

Must have: Node/Typescript, AWS serverless framework, docker container experience.
Excellent communication skills

Your Role:
You will be working closely with our architects and engineering managers to expand our backend infrastructure both in the cloud and at the edge. You will design and build mission-critical back-end components that power in-store services such as order routing and device integration, as well as provide seamless integration to cloud.

Core Responsibilities:
Build efficient and reusable frameworks, applications, and services using JavaScript (Node.js / TypeScript), Docker containers, AWS serverless stack.
Lead and participate in code reviews
Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues
Write comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests

Modern JavaScript-focused frameworks and technologies Node.js, Jest
Expert knowledge of JavaScript, APIs
Microservices at the edge our architecture utilizes Node.js,
Microservices in the cloud - our cloud services layer utilizes Node.js and the Serverless Framework and is built on the AWS Serverless stack Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions and DynamoDB
Experience of working with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling is a bonus Serverless Framework, GitLab CI/CD
TypeScript experience a plus
Must be attentive to detail, flexible, and able to work concurrently on multiple projects
Ability to troubleshoot, research, and work through complex problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
