This is a Civil Engineering internship; course study and specific area assignment will be assigned as you progress. Direct supervisor assignments will be based on projects where we feel we can provide the best learning experiences during the summer 2025 in the Central and Southern Indiana area. This position will work out of the Evansville and Bloomington, IN offices and the Cincinnati, OH office.
A Typical Day May Include
- Develop transportation, water resource, and bridge and structures construction documents and specifications under the supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Participate and assist the team with planning, design and structural inspection of various civil engineering projects
- Contribute to the preparation of planning documents, engineering plans, details, reports, specifications and cost estimates
- Assist in coordinating with clients, regulators and permitting agencies
- Help prepare contract documents for bidding
- Compete field assignments like data collection and departmental observation
