Release Train Engineer
Washington DC (Hybrid)

- Facilitate PI Planning
o Prepare ART backlog and logistics for Program Increment (PI) planning
o Lead in-person, two-day PI planning events
o Ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and OKRs
- Support PI Execution
o Track ART flow metrics: velocity, cycle time, predictability, etc.
o Facilitate key ART syncs (Coach Sync, PO Sync, I&A, System Demos, etc.)
o Promote DevOps and continuous delivery practices
o Support backlog refinement and coordinate with other ARTs
o Help Business Owners understand their role and define business value
- Coach the ART
o Guide Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Architects, and Business Owners
o Use powerful questions to foster team self-discovery and improvement
o Lead ART and team events in alignment with SAFe principles
- Optimize Flow
o Establish pull systems and flow metrics
o Facilitate value stream mapping and remove cross-team dependencies
o Continuously improve flow of value
- Drive Relentless Improvement
o Lead TeamHealth assessments and I&A events
o Promote built-in quality and collaborate with Lean-Agile transformation teams
- Act as a Servant Leader
o Foster a culture of openness, empathy, and shared leadership
o Empower teams in decision-making and problem-solving
o Represent the ART and deliver effective presentations to large audiences
Required Certifications:
- SAFe Release Train Engineer 6.0
- Scaled Agile Practice Consultant 6.0
- AgilityInsights Facilitator Certification
