Job Summary
VSolvit is seeking a Senior-Level Project Analyst with extensive Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) experience to support the USDA Forest Service Human Resource Management (HRM) Initiatives. This support will include project management, process improvement recommendations, generating HR Analytics, preparation and presentation to Forest Service HRM Management regarding HRIS Initiatives, working with HRM Management on Forest Service HRIS Strategic Plan, and mentoring Forest Service HRM employees on HRIS Systems processes and initiatives.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Manage HRIS projects and initiatives.
- Provide recommendations for HRIS process improvements.
- Develop and present high level status summaries to HRM Management regarding HRIS Initiatives/projects.
- Document/writing Test Cases, Test Plans.
- Create User Guides.
- Develop/Modify Workflows.
- Provide assistance and resolution for HRIS issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive experience regarding HRIS systems and functionality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize business requirements into HRIS system functionality.
- Strong experience using Business Intelligence tools (currently Tableau) on HRIS data.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify what tasks need to be prioritized based on the impact(s) to the environment and team.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience with HRIS systems as an HRIS Analyst and HRIS Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience using Business Intelligence Technology on HIRS data (preferably 2 years using Tableau)
- Minimum 5 years using MS Project with setup of Work Breakdown Structure.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using MS Office Products.
- Minimum of 3 years of Experience using Visio or Lucid Charts to develop process flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with senior management and communicating directly while maintaining a respectful and professional tone.
- Experience in aligning closely with the customer with the focus of developing a true partnership to demonstrate commitment to their business objectives.
- Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies.
- Master’s degree preferred (Information Systems).
