Job Description:
We are seeking a Security Engineer/Architect to design and deploy firewall security solutions in complex network environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with OTI Infrastructure Management and various engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in design meetings for security and network projects.
- Propose security architecture aligned with business needs and best practices.
- Collaborate with architect teams to develop solutions for citywide requirements.
- Install and provision new network or firewall devices.
- Replace firewalls and firewall rules as per established procedures.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud security adoption.
- Analyze cloud provider security management tools.
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- 12 years in networking, network security, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Strong understanding of DNS, NTP, BGP, and critical infrastructure protocols.
- Knowledge of enterprise cloud services in large environments.
- Expertise in routing, load balancing, and networking infrastructure.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technology.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
