Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Salesperson role located in Houston, TX. The Sales Estimator’s primary responsibility is to maximize the long-term success of VSTEEL by efficiently performing accurate Structural Steel Jobs to create high-quality sales proposals, while also effectively communicating with engineers, customers, and teammates to develop value-added solutions. This position requires a high level of collaboration with the assigned sales office and taking an ownership role in the bid process is critical to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements :

  • One year of experience in the Steel industry
  • Willingness and ability to work more than 40 hours per week, when required
  • Experience reading structural drawings and project specifications, as well as a general understanding of the construction process
  • Must have good management skills to manage bids

  • Preferences :

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MBS, and APR
  • One year of experience in the steel and / or construction industry
  • Two-year degree in business, sales, construction management, or related field
  • Mobility for future advancement opportunities within VSTEEL
