About The Role
Client is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and drive market expansion in general contracting and construction management services for water / wastewater treatment facilities . This role will focus on California-based business development strategies and best-in-class practices while collaborating with corporate and regional leadership.
The Business Development Manager will oversee CRM systems, identify new business opportunities, participate in strategic planning, and engage with clients at industry events and trade shows.
Essential Functions
Business Development Strategy & Execution
Support day-to-day business development operations , including CRM management, pursuit strategy, and budget planning .
- Develop and implement best-in-class business development policies and processes .
- Identify and position the company for new water / wastewater business opportunities through market research, client relationships, and industry events .
- Coordinate with district leaders to ensure consistent implementation of business development strategies .
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to identify new clients and business opportunities .
Proposal & Marketing Support
Assist in proposal writing, strategic positioning, and campaign activities for project pursuits.
CRM & Sales Operations
Manage the CRM system , tracking multiple opportunities and client interactions .
Basic Qualifications
Experience & Skills
5 years of experience in business development, market research, and sales .
Education & Technical Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Computer Science, or a related field .
Soft Skills & Competencies
Ability to prioritize work assignments and manage multiple tasks .
