VTG has an established program supporting senior procurement officers in McLean, VA and we are seeking an experienced financial analyst to join our team! The successful candidate will work on-site supporting senior level customers with spend plan management, budgeting, financial reporting, and other related responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) providing financial analysis and reporting support to executive level customers. The Financial Analyst will work with senior government officials to manage and track financials for five lines of business. The successful candidate will work regularly with the program managers for each of the lines of business to help manage and track their program financials. Responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) providing financial analysis and reporting support to executive level customers. The Financial Analyst will work with senior government officials to manage and track financials for five lines of business. The successful candidate will work regularly with the program managers for each of the lines of business to help manage and track their program financials. Responsibilities include:
- Developing annual budgets and building spend plans.
- Forecasting and tracking program expenses for all five lines of business against the associated spend plans.
- Conducting daily monitoring and analysis of commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
- Adjusting spend plans in collaboration with program managers and senior government officials.
- Reviewing obligations and expenses against target rates and working with program managers to meet given targets.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for funding queries and providing guidance on the usage of appropriate budget lines.
- Reviewing and concurring on funding requests.
- Developing, running, and analyzing reports using COGNOS.
- Building briefing materials to communicate financial information to stakeholders.
- Serving as liaison between departments on a wide variety of financial matters.
- Support the development of new processes and propose ideas for process improvement.
- TS/SCI with Poly.
- 5 years of financial analysis and reporting experience in the IC.
- Experience building and managing spend plans in the IC.
- Experience using BASIS, COGNOS, and BCR.
- Familiarity with TITAN, Service Level Agreements, and PETs.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables.
- Moderate skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
