Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Project Planner / Scheduler to support project managers and engineers in capital and O&M projects within Utility Operations. The Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing project schedules, ensuring milestone compliance, and coordinating with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in coordination with project managers, engineering teams, and subcontractors.
- Oversee monthly schedule inputs from various stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
- Generate and distribute progress reports, tracking project milestones, work delays, and overall project status.
- Analyze schedule data and provide actionable recommendations for project planning and execution.
- Ensure alignment between cost forecasts and schedule forecasts, escalating any discrepancies.
- Implement process improvements to enhance schedule accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and correlate schedule information with cost and resource data for resource-loaded schedules
- Ensure project baselines are set and maintained according to NYPA guidelines.
- Review and analyze third-party schedules, ensuring logical ties and critical path adherence.
- Identify and communicate potential schedule risks and opportunities.
- Incorporate contractor-provided schedules into the Master Schedule.
- Participate in project team meetings and collaborate with cost analysts to review cost and schedule alignment.
