Job Description
This role will support the daily project management and project reporting through Primavera for the entire energy efficiency (EE) business unit. This individual will standardize Primavera usage and its functionality across working various construction, engineering design, and implementation projects.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Provides overall support to EE and the Project Managers (PMs) during the full-scale development and implementation of the Primavera reporting and the Project Management user tools.
Assists in developing how the business unit incorporates Primavera into EE business processes.
Develops policies and procedures in using Primavera tool uniformly.
Reinforces Primavera users (PMs and Implementation Contractors) to use functionality of the software provided through training and conformance of uniform schedule controls and document controls across customer groups.
Contractor will be tasked to review and upgrade the EE PM User manual for Primavera, to clarify how to address EE business processes within the tool, such as adding frequently asked questions, improving the “how to” documentation for PM required tasks, and enhancing policy guidance documentation in areas where issues most often arise for PMs.
Contractor will serve as central point of contact to mentor PMs, providing one-on–one assistance, identifying common problems and potential opportunities to improve efficiencies, coordinating with support outside EE as needed, and supporting customization and validation of reporting.
Provides day to day tutorial duties, leadership to team of users, and working direction in Primavera for all phases of project management including but not limited to project development, implementation, documentation, costs, and scheduling.
Skills:
Expert usage and proficiency in Primavera and working knowledge of application considerations for project management
Experience in preparing and maintaining a Progress Scheduling using the CPM methodology on Primavera P6 software.
Experience in utilizing every module of the document control system in Primavera Contract Manager.
An understanding of project management and technical concepts, principles and terminology and to clearly state and summarize technical information.
Self-motivated and well-organized with a positive attitude towards challenges and the ability to set and meet deadlines
Enthusiasm to participate or lead in a team based culture across project management to meet challenging deadlines in a fast paced environment
Must have the ability to work independently within a team and follow through on tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Education and Certifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of engineering and project management on construction projects. Previous experience with project management associated with Electrical, Mechanical and Civil aspects are desired. Knowledge of engineering and construction practices is necessary.
Working experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in Engineering; however a formal degree is required.
