Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Help Desk Technician with a college degree to join our team. We are a fast-paced Managed Service Provider with a family atmosphere. As the Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate certifications as required and outlined by leadership
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments
- Install and configure software, and set up hardware
- Perform backups
- Perform disaster recovery operations
- Maintain applications and/or virus protection measures
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software or other network issues
- Assess security risks and ensure the security of networks and computer systems
- Work with users via phone, email, and chat to solve problems or make adjustments and/or improvements
- Keep detailed, accurate notes on work performed for internal auditing and client information
Qualifications
- Local to Bakersfield
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- Experience as an IT Technician working at a Managed Service Provider preferred
- CompTIA, Microsoft and other industry certifications preferred
- Knowledge in networking configurations
- Knowledge of Windows Operating systems and Microsoft applications
- Familiarity with Apple products and OSX environment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong customer service skills
